it can be very enjoyable when the spouse is away. P is away until friday night. last night, i had ice cream for dinner, and watched all the crappy reality tv i wanted (did you see the Battle of the Network Reality Stars? reality tv doesn't get any crappier than that!) usually i have to be to work by 4:15am, but because P isn't here to take care of the kids, i have today and tomorrow off. it was very nice to sleep until 7:15. i also had a great time getting the kids ready for school. it's been over a year since i've been home on a weekday morning to get them ready. i remember it being a painful process. but this morning, it was actually fun.

i'm already thinking about what kind of junk food i'll have for dinner tonight (more ice cream, pizza, chocolate cake). i'll probably weigh five pounds more than i did when P left and be coming down from a major sugar high, but it will be well worth it.
