4:36 a.m.

yesterday was very busy, so i didn't have time to post.

this morning, all i can say is i. am. tired.

KidTwo was up at about 2:30am saying "i don't feel very well." her stomach hurt, and she had a slight fever. poor baby. i gave her medicine and sat by her bed for a while, and by that time it was close to 3am. here's the dilemma, i usually get up around 3:30 because i have to be to work by 4-4:15. i knew if i went back to bed, i would be completely groggy when the alarm went off, so i just got ready and came to work. hence the early morning post. (did i mention, i. am. tired.)

Baby Henry continues to improve following his heart transplant last week. he is currently being weaned off a machine called a ventricular assist (or something close to that), so the next 24 hours or so is very critical in terms of how well he handles coming off the machine. but, so far, so good. the kid's a fighter, that's for sure.

watched the finale of rockstar inxs last night. i can't believe how much i enjoy j.d. now. at the beginning of the season, he made my skin crawl, but last night (after mig was dismissed) i was really pulling for him to win. my enjoyment of him increased in direct proportion to how much my enjoyment of dave navarro decreased. that guy is a complete dork (and not in the way that i am a dork, which is, for the most part, enjoyable).

i can't believe that hurricane rita may be as destructive as katrina. let's pray that the forecasters are wrong.....
