KidTwo made her cheerleading debut last night. it was pouring rain, and the local high school football team stinks, but she loved it. she was completely thrilled with the t-shirt, hair ribbon, and pom poms she received. it felt kind of twilight zone-ish to me to be watching my daughter cheerlead (and honestly, i took the pouring rain as a sign from the gods that KidTwo should NOT be a cheerleader). but 25-dollars, a new pair of white tennis shoes, and a pair of sweatpants later....it's done, and we can all move on with our lives. (did i mention she found out that the university dance team does a similar clinic and she's dying to do that, too? shoot me now)

KidOne had an 8am soccer game today. 8am! they don't even start school until 8:30, and we're supposed to have them up, dressed, out the door, and playing soccer by 8? not to mention the fact that last night at about 11:30 i realized KidOne was the snack person for today, so i had to leave 15 minutes earlier so we could purchase scooby doo graham crackers (in the shape of dog bones) and kool aid jammers. they got their butts kicked, but the snack was a big hit. and as far as KidOne is concerned, it's really all about the snack anyway.

KidTwo has a game at noon. KidTwo is the snack person for this game, so, really, it's a banner day for our family.
