first, an update on Baby Henry (my friend's almost-one-year-old who had a heart transplant a couple of weeks ago). he continues to make little bits of progress. a few days ago, he was moved out of critical care and into the step down unit. he's having a few problems like fluid in his lungs, and a couple of incisions that aren't healing properly, but so far it's nothing the doctors are overly concerned about. Henry will turn one on October 4th. He's been through more this year than most adults would be able to handle. A true miracle baby.

woke up on time, made it to work on time, got the kids to school on time. for those of you keeping score, that's two days in a row !!! how do i do it?

getting ready for survivor tonight. one way or another, the kids will be in bed by 8. i keep hoping it will get more interesting. maybe tonight. the first two episodes were real snooze-fests.

the receptionist at the radio station invited all of the women at work to a hot tub party at her house tomorrow night....as if! i would rather watch a 24 hour Barney marathon while listening to a wiggles CD than get in a bathing suit, in a hot tub, with the women i work with! not only do i not want to be in a bathing suit in front of them, but there are a few of them that i would rather not see in a bathing suit! that's a mental image i can live without...... luckily, and surprisingly, P and i have a social engagement tomorrow night.

besides, i would need like two razor blades and an hour in the shower (at least!) to prepare my body for a public viewing. how's that for a mental image?
